We have incorporated into our microarchitecture all the processes that the material undergoes from the quarry to the finished architectural structure, through the use of materials in various finishes; and to reinforce this concept, we have used earth, greenery, and electro-welded mesh—elements that complement the path we have chosen for the stone: the earth is not compacted, the greenery has no flowers, the iron rusts, and everything is left there, almost abandoned, until the moment when the architect’s “genius” decides how to use it. This creates a link between the two paths: the finished stone—polished, squared, perfect—emerges through a seemingly simple transition, devoid of the toil that instead characterizes its quarrying and processing, almost like osmosis, like a continuous flow, often causing us to forget nature itself and human effort.
